''She'' and ''Maria''

Hello guys! So, did you have a nice Christmas? I really hope so :) Today the song that I am going to talk about is ''She'', by Charles Aznavour. Such a charming, enchanting song and lyrics... I heard it for the fisrt time in a movie called Notting Hill and since I first heard it I wished that someone could refer to me like Charles does to the girl of the song.... And as I am so melted with songs that refer to special women, I am going to talk about the song ''Maria'', a song from the known and classic musical ''West Side Story''. Oh, how I wish I was a muse to someone, just like ''Maria'' and ''She'' are to these amazing singers!!!

Tokio Hotel - 1000 Meere

Hi everyone! Today I am going to talk about a song played by the band Tokio Hotel, 1000 Meere. Tokio Hotel is a German band that I know since 2007, and since then till 2008 I had a big huge fat crush on Bill Kaulitz, the vocalist... And now, far away from that crush, I can look at the music with fan's eyes and not with the eyes of someone who is blindly in love with the vocalist and only loves the songs because of him. I like Tokio Hotel's songs, and I know that most of people don't like them because they have a different look, but honestly I don't care. Yeah, I am not their biggest fan, but I can recognize the talent without judging by the appearance. Amy Winehouse was anything but beautiful and no one can deny that she had one of the biggest voices in Jazz. This to say that I don't care if Tokio Hotel members are different or not (even though I prefer their old style), I can recognize if I like the MUSIC or not. The looks... Oh my God, if they like their looks, what's it to you, or us? They are also good performers.
The song I am going to talk about is my Tokio Hotel's favourite one. Yeah, I like Bill's voice. I do. He is a good singer. And he sings with all his heart. And this music is, to my ears, amazing, not also because of that, but because of the amazing lyrics (I give much importance to lyrics). And I'm a lover of German language. This song, particulary, is too well written. Too sentimental. I heard it in this morning, and I don't know why, maybe also because I was sooooo sleepy, and that makes me more sensitive, the song almost made me cry(lately I blubber too much, don't even know why). Well, here comes this song, which I find so touching.

Unchained Melody

Hi guys! So today I'm going to talk about a song that I heard yesterday in the movie Ghost, and I am also going to talk a little about the movie. Such a sad, touching movie, it almost made me cry, which is not a normal thing haha. He is murdered and turns turns into a ghost, but he doesn't stop loving his girlfriend, and tries to warn her that his dead has not an accident. Well, I can barely hear the song I am going to talk about, it makes me cry... It's called Unchained Melody.... It is really sung with heart and soul! Well, what can I say, 60's music, always the best :) I leave you with the song, and the feeling...

Grease

And now I'm going to talk about the other favourite movie. It's a movie from 1978, portraiting a teenage love from the 50's. Danny and Sandy met in the summer, at the beach. And in the end, they took different paths, cause she had to go back to Australia, and he stayed in the United States. But here comes the destiny: Sandy's family decided to stay in the United States, and she ended up in Danny's highschool, Rydel, and they didn't even know. They told their friends how they spent the summer, telling different versions. When they finally met, Danny was at first happy, but seeing the weird faces of his friends, he started acting like a jerk, hurting Sandy's heart. Sometime later, he apologizes for the way he treated her, and they go to the highschool dance together. Danny's friend, Kenickie, to make his girlfriend Rizzo jealous, brought Danny's ex girlfriend, Cha Cha, to the dance. In the end, when Danny and Sandy were almost winning the dance contest, Sonny, Danny's friend, grabs Sandy and Cha Cha catches that opportunity to dance with Danny and they win, leaving Sandy sad. She and Danny had a big huge difference: he was the leader of the T-Birds, the bad boy everyone knew by making out with as many girls as he could, and she was the most pure and innocent girl in the planet. In the end, she decided to go to Thunder Road, to see Danny's race against the leader of the Scorpions, Cha Cha's actual boyfriend. Danny wins and Sandy realizes she has to change to conquer his heart. She asks her friend Frenchy for help, and they go to Frenchy's house. In the formature carnival, in the end of the year, Sandy appears in front of Danny wearing leather clothes, with the hair curled and smoking, leaving Danny amazed. They confess their love for each other and everybody ends up together: Danny and Sandy, Frenchy and Doody, Kenickie and Rizzo, Jan and Putzie, Marty and Sonny.

The Notebook

Hi guys! Today I had an idea: as the name of the blog is from a movie quote, I decided to, once in a while, post here some movies. Movies are also one big passion of mine, maybe the second one, they give me chills! I love comedy, horror, fantasy, cartoons, drama and most of all, romances and musicals. Oh, they make me rave. Besides, my two favourite movies have romance.... One of them just a little. And they are so different from one another! I will first talk about the favourite of the favourites, a movie from 2004, telling the story of a 80 year old man reading a notebook to a 80 year old lady, who had Alzheimer disease. The notebook potraits the love of two teenagers in the year of 1940. It was love at first sight. It was a summer fling. She was destined to bright in the high society world and he was just a poor boy from the country, with no money. They got separated, she had a an evil mother who didn't aproove their love. He wrote her 365 letters, but her mother used to hide them, making her daughter believe he didn't love her anymore. Seven years later, she was engaged to a rich man, and he, from 1940 till then, he couldn't love anyone but her. He had made a promise to her to reconstruct an antebellum house he had show her in one night. And when he came to know that she was with another man, he decided to reconstruct that house, thinking that it would make her come back to him. When she was trying her wedding gown, she saw his picture in the newspaper and fainted. She came back to the place where she went in that summer, and found him. She ended up betraying her fiancé with the first love of her life. In the next day, her mother found her in his house, and delivered to her the 365 letters, finally. She and the boy fighted, because she didn't know which one would she chose, him or her fiancé. In the end, she comes back to him. And when the old man finishes the story, the lady remembers that the story he read was their story. In the night, she had an Alzheimer attack again and he cried and in that night, he had a heart attack and went to the hospital. She was in the hospital too, and recognized him laid in the hospital bed. During the next night, he went to her room and she asked him if he thought that their love could create miracles and he said their love could do anything they wanted it to. He laid in her bed, holding her hand, and in the next day, they were found dead, holding hands.

Crush, by Sum 41

Hey everybody! So today I'm here to talk about the song Crash, by Sum 41. I chose this song today because I heard it yesterday for the first time, because a friend of mine posted it in his Facebook profile. As I'm into Sum 41's musical style, I decided to hear and the song almost made me cry. I was reading its lyrics as I was listening to the song, and I found it so touchy that I wanted to share it with you all. It's clearly the case of someone who is about to die, so the song is a farewell to a dearly beloved of the one who sings it... No, I don't think that Derryck Whibley is about to die, that's not it, but in this song he tried to walk on the feet of someone who seems to be dying young, as he keeps saying ''Was I supposed to grow old with you?''. It's a touching song, sad to sing and to hear, but besides there is no way to deny its beauty :)

My First Post :)

Hi guys! I'm Beatriz Bellamy, and I'm here to share some of my favourite songs, and sometimes songs that describe me, or how I'm feeling. And as a start, I'd like to share with you my favourite song.

Well.... And why is Boulevard Of Broken Dreams my favourite song? I will start the explain by telling the story of how I met Green Day. So, in 2007, I got this big huge idol, whose information I was always looking to find. And he was always saying that his favourite song was Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, by Green Day. Well, I had heard about Green Day before, but that song seemed to have such a weird name! I decided to hear which song was that. And what a surprise! I had heard that song in the radio station over and over and over again, and oh my God, never had an idea of its name! I completely fell in love with Green Day, and some months later, I heard another song played by this band, ''Welcome To Paradise'', and it sounded so familiar! Then I had a flashback, suddenly I remembered that when I was a little girl, with about 5 or 6 years old, I had heard that song in the house of a cousin of mine, she was playing Green Day's CD.
But I love Boulevard Of Broken Dreams not only because of the was I came to find the song, nor because the amazing vocals and instrumental, but the lyrics, particulary the chorus, describe me better as I ever could. I feel like I am walking down an empty road, totally alone, and sometimes I wish someone was by my side, but 'till I find that someone, a lover or a friend, I am also good travelling this path alone :)

I will try to keep in touch with you as often  as I can. Sometimes, when I post a song, I would like to talk about its meaning, and what it means to me. I will not only talk about music, but also about my day by day, something that I find intresting to share, the things I love, and I can also use the blog as some kind of a shelter for me, I will find it useful to talk about how I'm feeling when nobody else is here to listen to me.
I explain why the blog is called ''The Hills Are Alive With The Sound Of Music''. To start, I can say that music is my biggest passion, and I always thought that the movie''The Sound Of Music'' has the best soundtrack ever. By naming my blog with this title, I mean that the music awakes the people's senses, almost all of them, and eveything , not only people's feelings, seems to come to life when music speaks. And this is also the main reason why I love music so much :)
I hope you guys like this blog :) Bye!
